Chris Vaughn is winning recognition left and right for the short film The Fifth Chair, a timely take on the cult-like nature of modern politics.
Chris Vaughn is probably best known for the breakthrough hit “Jerseyboy Hero” costarring next to Academy Award Winners, Springsteen and Vallelonga. His latest may end up winning the most attention yet, with short horror film director Vaughn’s “The Fifth Chair” winning three awards so far, with more likely on the way. “The Fifth Chair” is as timely as it is disturbing, showcasing the cult-like elements of much of today’s tribalist political world. The film has helped solidify Chris’s reputation as a passionate, deep thinking filmmaker, capable of making real art that provokes thought and has lasting influence.
“The Fifth Chair is very important to me,” commented Chris. “It is refreshing and invigorating to see how warmly it is being embraced. This is horror broadly speaking, but is also carrying an important message.”
So far, “The Fifth Chair” has won three film festival awards. “Best Horror” at The 2022 Summer Couch Film Festival, along with “Best Producer” and “Best Cinematography” at The 2022 International Motion Picture Awards.
Next up for the Chris Vaughn Company is “Making Arby”, a documentary film about writing and producing films and music.
